Colt Python .357 Magnum caliber revolver. Extra fancy custom engraved and gold inlaid scarce 2 1/2” model, belonged to well-known Houston personality Ebb Rose. Rose was an Indy race car driver in the 1960’s and was a friend and contemporary of AJ Foyt’s, and was later a partner in Rose Trucking. He served during the war as a pilot with the famous Flying Tigers. The gun is fully covered with fancy scroll engraving and has “Ebb Rose” inlaid in gold over each chamber, as well as gold inlaid snakes, a rose, a map of Texas, and finally the words “Ice Man” on the muzzle of the gun. A really impressive and over-the-top work of art.
